Stephen Gisby

Notary Public

Stephen Gisby delivers specialist legal advice and representation in the field of contentious probate and estate disputes to a diverse range of clients across the South West and beyond. Raised in Salisbury and educated in Oxford, Stephen is now centrally located in Bristol city centre.

Experience

Following his graduation from the University of Oxford, Stephen built on the knowledge gained through his degree to assist the clients of a specialist personal injury litigation firm.

Having honed his skill in legal representation, it wasn’t long before Stephen became a partner at a large West Country law firm – a position that saw him handle a wide variety of civil and family litigation and one he would go on to hold for 12 years.

After leaving the firm, Stephen focused on strengthening his skills in the field of Will, trust and estate disputes, spending some time at small firms before setting up on his own in 2006. Since then, he has provided an exceptional legal service backed by 30+ years of technical expertise to individuals when they need it the most. From modest estates to high value cases, his experience in this field is unrivalled in the local area.

Stephen was appointed a notary public in 1996 and a deputy district judge in 2000.  For 15 years he was a contributor to a book on litigation practice.
